L'Oréal Paris has named British-Indian actress Alia Bhatt as its latest brand ambassador.
The 31-year-old will front global campaigns for the French beauty brand this autumn across television, digital and social media.
Bhatt, best known for starring in Darlings, Heart of Stone and Highway, was named one of Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People of 2024.
She is also the founder of children’s clothing brand Ed-a-Mamma.
Bhatt was chosen as an ambassador because “she uses her global platform and role as a producer to push for inclusivity in the film industry,” said Delphine Viguier-Hovasse, Global Brand President of L’Oréal Paris.
“And to shed light on Indian cinema worldwide.
“Her commitment to care for people and the planet makes her the perfect ambassador for female talent [and] entrepreneurship.”
Bhatt joins actresses Eva Longoria, Elle Fanning, Simone Ashley and Viola Davis, singer Camila Cabello and model Kendall Jenner in the L'Oréal Paris ambassador line-up.
The drugstore brand also appointed Nigerian actress Temi Otedola as its first African Digital Ambassador in June.
“I am excited to collaborate with L'Oréal Paris to make a positive impact in the beauty industry and champion inclusivity for women,” said Bhatt.
“The brand’s celebration of women’s empowerment resonates deeply with me."
Bhatt was also named Gucci’s first Indian global ambassador last year.
