Kiko Milano has teamed up with Stabilo on a limited-edition collection of lip tints shaped like the writing instrument manufacturer’s popular highlighter.
The Stabilo x Kiko Milano collection combines the Italian make-up brand’s expertise in cosmetics with Stabilo’s beloved Boss Mini highlighters design into a lip tint available in five shades that celebrate “individuality, self-expression and confidence”.
The partnership brings together the two companies’ shared belief that “creativity is a form of self-expression, and colour gives people the confidence to show who they are,” read a joint statement.
Founded in 1855, Stabilo is a respected German manufacturer of writing instruments, including highlighters, coloured pencils and drawing supplies.
“Push the boundaries of colour and creativity to the next level, inspiring the members of our community to highlight their own individual personality,” said Simone Dominici, CEO of Kiko Milano.
“Working with Stabilo allows us to bring that philosophy across categories, with a partner that shares our passion for colour and our commitment to creative people.”
The Stabilo x Kiko Milano collection comprises five bold colours, so “users can explore colour”, while also being named after words and phrases that play on the language of writing.
They are: brown hued 01 – Fine Print; mauve coloured 02 – Afterthought; orange shade 03 – Don’t Quote Me; red 04 – On My Radar; and fuchsia 05 – Pink(er).

“For generations, Stabilo has helped people express themselves through colour,” said Michele Molon, Group CEO of Schwan-Stabilo and CEO of Stabilo International GmbH.
“Today, we are taking that spirit beyond the page and into new dimensions of creativity and self-expression.
“Our collaboration with Kiko Milano is a perfect example of how two iconic brands, coming from different worlds, can challenge conventions and create something unexpected.
“This is exactly the kind of bold, imaginative thinking that will shape the next chapter of Stabilo.”
The Stabilo x Kiko Milano collection is available in stores and online across Italy, France, Spain, Germany and the UK.
It can also be purchased through Kiko Milano’s directly operated European and Middle East e-commerce platforms.
This is not the first time beauty has tapped into the creativity and play associated with writing and colouring in.
Earlier this year, Clinique teamed up with art supplies maker Crayola on a “fun” campaign for its Chubby Sticks expansion.
