Emily in Paris actor Lucien Laviscount has been named brand ambassador of perfume brand Kilian Paris.
Laviscount is the face of the brand’s new Old Fashioned edp which features whiskey accords inspired by the taste of an 18-year-aged single malt.
Brand founder Kilian Hennessy said he chose Laviscount to represent the brand for his “magnetic presence and sincerity”.
“Lucien perfectly embodies the fusion of British charm and French sophistication, the essence of what Old Fashioned represents,” said Hennessy.
“From the moment we met, I was struck by his ability to effortlessly convey complex emotions and his natural elegance, qualities that resonate deeply with the Kilian Paris ethos.”
Laviscount features in a campaign advert directed by Jean-Claude Thibaut and Erik Messerschmidt.
The video sees the actor navigating a hidden bar within a historic Scottish castle.
“When I first came across Kilian Paris, I was immediately captivated by its Angels’ Share [perfume],” added Laviscount.
“I have been hooked ever since, and when I learned about Old Fashioned, I knew this was my chance to give back to one of my favourite brands. How could I say no?”
Old Fashioned was created in collaboration with perfumer Sidonie Lancesseur, who blended wheat absolute with more floral notes of davana herb essence.
This unfolds into a concentrated cedarwood essence base and lasting notes of styrax, a deciduous tree native to southeastern Asia and South America.
The fragrance is also housed in a tumbler-shaped bottle emblazoned with an abstract ‘K’ on the front, further solidifying the whiskey-inspired theme.
Laviscount’s brand ambassador appointment comes amid a fresh surge of demand for French beauty, following the release of Emily in Paris’ fourth season.
Searches for ‘French girl makeup’ increased by 100% within 24 hours of the airing of the Netflix show's first half on 15 August.
Laviscount plays Alfie in the Netflix series, the love interest of Lily Collins’ character Emily Cooper.
