Victoria and David Beckham’s daughter Harper is reportedly launching her own beauty brand, with her mother this week revealing how acne struggles inspired the 14-year-old’s interest in skin care

Harper Beckham’s reported plans to launch a beauty brand have hit an apparent setback, after a trademark application for ‘HIKU by Harper’ in the US was blocked.

The 14-year-old daughter of Victoria and David Beckham is rumoured to be following in the footsteps of her mother with the launch of her own beauty brand, after the trademark filings first emerged.

Now, documents filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) show that a Notice of Provisional Full Refusal was issued on 29 April.

The trademark was refused “because of a likelihood of confusion” with existing trademarked brands in the country.

The USPTO’s decision can still be challenged.

A UK trademark application for ‘HIKU by Harper’ was filed in October 2025.

This week, Victoria shared insight into her daughter’s desire to launch her own skin care line, speaking on the podcast, Aspire with Emma Grede, hosted by entrepreneur and Skims co-founder Emma Grede.

The Spice Girl-turned-entrepreneur who has her own fashion label and line of make-up, skin care and fragrance, Victoria Beckham Beauty, shared that Harper’s passion for skin care was born from personal struggles with acne.

This followed the use of skin care that was too strong for young skin, and Victoria explained that “she came to me two or three years ago and she was really struggling with her skin”.

Victoria said: “She used to have beautiful skin, but then, like all young girls, she was enticed by certain beauty brands, and she was putting a lot of product on her face.

“That was not suitable for her skin, and consequently ended up going to see a dermatologist because her skin was really bad.

“And I went through that journey myself. You know, I suffered with child acne, teenage acne, [and] adult acne.

“I mean, every acne under the sun – I have been there. So I could really relate to her.”

Victoria said she is keen to support her daughter as she sets out to launch her own beauty business.
