L’Oréal updates 100,000 Years of Beauty book to mark its 115th anniversary

L’Oréal Groupe has recommissioned its 100,000 Years of Beauty book, which traces the evolution of beauty practices throughout history.

The French beauty giant has refreshed its five volume collective works to mark the company’s 115th anniversary – 15 years after the first edition of the book was released.

The revamp comprises a new cube design, as well as revisions to dates and figures within each volume.

“The 100,000 Years of Beauty project was initiated in 2009 and L'Oréal Groupe gave anthropologist [and author] Elizabeth Azoulay and the publisher Gallimard free rein,” Delphine Urbach, Art, Culture & Heritage Director of L’Oréal Groupe, told Cosmetics Business.
