Latin Americans turn to local brands


Due to the growth spurt, local companies have had fertile ground to develop and in some cases become world class competitors in their own right.

Latin America is an attractive and lucrative target market for global cosmetics companies looking to expand overseas. Multinationals have been quick to establish their brands in the region, given its heavily urbanised and increasingly prosperous population of 600 million, an economy of US$5.7trillion, and greater available credit.
