The Estée Lauder Companies-owned fashion and beauty house named Peter Hawkings as Tom Ford's successor in 2023

Tom Ford, the Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) beauty and fashion house, has announced that its Creative Director Peter Hawkings has stepped down.

Hawkings is exiting the role less than a year after taking over from the brand's eponymous founder in April 2023.

A successor has not yet been announced.

"I would like to express my gratitude to Peter for his exceptional contributions to Tom Ford from the very beginning,” said Guillaume Jesel, President and CEO of Tom Ford and Luxury Business Development at ELC.

Hawkings served as founder Tom Ford's deputy before stepping up last year as creative lead following the brand's acquisition by ELC and Zegna Group's 20-year licence agreement to produce the fashion line.

"I want to thank Peter for his collaboration since Tom Ford Fashion became part of the Ermenegildo Zegna Group," said Lelio Gavazza, CEO of Tom Ford Fashion.

"Along with his team, Peter has contributed to this important initial phase of development. I wish him all the best in his next chapter."

The Spring/Summer 2025 collection will be presented in Milan, Italy, in September 2024.
