Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) has named Akhil Shrivastava as its new Executive VP and CFO, effective 1 November.
Shrivastava succeeds Tracey Travis who is retiring after more than 12 years of service.
Managing ELC’s global finance, accounting, tax, treasury, investor relations and new business development organisations will be among Shrivastava’s responsibilities.
He will also lead the Finance & Strategy Team to “drive sustainable value creation, governance and strategic business objectives” for the long term.
“I look forward to helping to advance the company’s multiple engines of growth to rebuild stronger, more sustainable profitability,” said Shrivastava.
“And support sales growth acceleration across brands, product categories and regions, while evolving the business for the future.”

Shrivastava is a long-standing ELC employee, having held several senior finance roles during his nine-year tenure.
His most recent position as Senior VP, Corporate Controller, saw Shrivastava handling ELC’s corporate accounting, financial planning, pricing and value chain finance.
Before this, Shrivastava was Senior VP, Treasurer, where he managed the company’s treasury functions, real estate and retirement funds.
“Akhil is an exceptional and capable leader whose financial and strategic expertise and insights have been important in supporting the company over the past several years,” said ELC President and CEO Fabrizio Freda.
“And he will be instrumental in driving forward our strategic direction and decisions.”
Travis will work with Shrivastava until 30 June, 2025, to “support a seamless transition”, said ELC in a statement.
