Margot Robbie has been appointed the new face of Chanel N°5.
The Australian actress and producer features in a new campaign for the luxury house’s hero fragrance, which will be revealed in October.
The Barbie star takes over from French actress Marion Cotillard, who has been the face of the perfume since 2020.
Australian actress Nicole Kidman also served as an ambassador for the line, meanwhile, 1950s icon Marilyn Monroe claimed to have famously worn the fragrance to bed.
“I think Chanel N°5 is one of the most iconic fragrances in the world. It is incredible to be a part of it,” said Robbie.
“There is such an impressive lineage of women who have been associated with the fragrance over the years.
“I am very honoured to be joining that long list of incredible talents.”
Robbie has been an ambassador for Chanel since 2018 and starred in the brand’s Rouge Allure Velvet Nuit Blanche lipstick campaign this year.
Other noteable appointments for the prestige cosmetics brand over the past two years include Timothée Chalamet and Whitney Peak.
Chanel has also had an internal shake-up. The French company named Simona Cattaneo its new President of Fragrance and Beauty.
She will take over from Anne Kirby, who is retiring at the end of 2024 after five years.
