K18, Dyson, DSM-Firmenich and Aora are among the beauty players awarded a place in Time magazine’s list of 2026’s best inventions.
The publication’s annual list has arrived, with the 2026 edition spotlighting a number of product launches within the beauty and self-care space.
Hair care brand K18, technology leader Dyson, flavours and fragrances manufacturer DSM-Firmenich, and plastic-free Mexican make-up brand Aora were spotlighted in the list of 300 groundbreaking products and ideas.
Time magazine uses this list to spotlight the products and ideas changing the way people live, work and think.
The beauty and self-care products included in Time’s best inventions 2026 list are:
Aora – a plastic-free, sustainable beauty brand born in Mexico.
Braun Nevo – a premium electric shaver, launched in July, with a redesigned foil system to improve glide alongside AutoSense technology to adapt to individual beard density.
CipherX Microdot Tattoos – an innovative application system for tiny tattoos using microneedle patch technology to deliver pigment to the skin.
DSM-Firmenich Parsol Shield – this newly developed sun care ingredient is a broad-spectrum UV filter also known as bemotrizinol (BEMT), and marks the first new sunscreen active approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) since the late 1990s.
Dyson CameraJet – a £419.99 toothbrush which uses artificial intelligence (AI) technology and precision fluid dynamics to floss gaps between teeth while brushing.
iPolish – combining technology with nail art, iPolish’s set of smart press-on nails can be easily changed between hundreds of shades using electronic display technology.
K18 FutureIQ – tackling shedding, greying and damaged hair, K18’s FutureIQ serum combines biomimetic peptides, a root-anchoring complex and antioxidants to take on multiple hair care concerns in a single step.
