Herbivore Botanicals has landed Supergoop!’s former CMO Britany LeBlanc as CEO.
LeBlanc will be responsible for ramping up the prestige skin care brand’s growth strategy via its distribution channels, including Sephora and Amazon.
She will also be expanding the team to support the brand’s increased marketing.
Herbivore Botanicals is a Seattle-based ‘clean’ skin care brand, which was founded by Julia Wills and Alexander Kummerow in 2011.
The brand began as an Etsy shop before landing a retail deal with Sephora.
“I am thrilled to share that I have joined Herbivore Botanicals,” LeBlanc posted on LinkedIn.
“After admiring the brand for many years, I could not be more excited to lead the team in building the next phase of growth alongside founder Alex.”
LeBlanc previously worked at sunscreen brand Supergoop! for seven years, helping to elevate its market presence.
After joining as SVP Marketing in 2017, she was promoted to CMO in 2022.
Prior to that, LeBlanc was SVP Marketing at apparel business Worth Collection.
Herbivore Botanicals co-founder Kummerow is also stepping up his responsibilities this year.
He plans to be more active in his role as Creative Director and brand storyteller.
Other big C-suite shake-ups of late include Unilever Prestige’s CEO Vasiliki Petrou departing the company after 10 years.
Luxury fashion house Kering has also promoted Laurent Claquin to the newly created role of Chief Brand Officer.
