Dior has named Oscar-winning actress and long-term ambassador Charlize Theron as the face of its reinvented Dior Capture line.
The reveal follows Dior’s May 2024 announcement that the Monster and Tully star would front its skin care and jewellery campaigns.
In a statement, Dior said Theron’s “values and unwavering strength are the perfect reflection of this iconic line, now reinvented”.
Dior Capture is said to apply 40 years of research on ‘skin mother cells’ to cosmetics.
Two Dior Capture products – a serum and day cream based on a new technology called Oxygeno-Collagen (OX-C) – began rolling out from 26 December.
Dior Capture OX-C Treatment Le Sérum ranges from US$145 for 30ml to $234 for 75ml.
Meanwhile, a 50ml jar of Dior Capture OX-C Treatment Crème Jour costs $145, with its refill priced at $125.
The first Dior Capture advert featuring Theron and shot by Brigitte Lacombe has been released.
Beyond her Dior ambassadorship, 2025 will see the South African work on projects from her production company, including The Old Guard: Force Multiplied and the sequel to Atomic Blonde, in which she will also star.
Theron began working with Dior in 2004, with the 49-year-old going on to star in a number of high profile campaigns for its J’adore fragrance.
Grammy Award-winning artist and Fenty Beauty founder Rihanna was announced as the new face of J’adore in June 2024, with a campaign film released later that year.
