The purchase by Yves Rocher was achieved as part of an operation to increase the enterprise's capital and will enable Terre d'Oc to develop its international network. The Provencal company achieves 20% of its business outside France mainly in the UK, Switzerland and Japan and has a project in New York. Its products are distributed in France by Nature & Decouvertes. Yves Rocher has indicated that its interest is a way of gaining a foothold in the bio-cosmetics segment of the market which is starting to grow strongly in Europe. Further acquisitions in this area have not been ruled out.
