From modest floral dresses to collecting eggs from pet chickens, the divisive TikTok traditional wife trend, more commonly known as 'trad wife', may just make you feel like you’ve been transported back to the 1950s.

But behind the perfectly baked sourdough loaves and picture-perfect families, there is a controversy surrounding the trend which necessitates a question.
