Make-up artist Lisa Eldridge, founder of Lisa Eldridge Beauty, has been recognised with an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in the King’s New Years Honours List.

Eldridge, whose eponymous brand launched in 2019 with its True Velvet Lipsticks, was recognised for services to the cosmetic and fashion industries.

In an Instagram post via @lisaeldridgemakeup, the MUA wrote: “I am humbled and thrilled to share some exciting news with you.

“I have been recognised in King Charles lll 2025 New Years Honours List and have been awarded an MBE for my contribution to the fashion and beauty industries.

“When I started out in my career I had nothing but a fire in my heart for make-up.

“That creative drive, curiosity and lifelong passion has certainly taken me beyond even my wildest dreams!”

Eldridge has held creative lead positions at brands including Chanel and Shiseido, and is currently Global Creative Director of Lancôme Makeup.

She launched her YouTube channel in 2010, sharing industry insider techniques and product recommendations, which has to-date amassed more than 250 million views.

Also representing the beauty industry in 2025’s Honours List was Emma Meredith, Director General of the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Perfumery Association (CTPA).

Meredith was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) – the second highest ranking Order of the British Empire award, after Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE).

She has been recognised for services to business and consumers.

The CTPA is the UK’s trade association representing all types of companies involved in making, supplying, and selling cosmetics and personal care products.

Meredith has led the association since 2019.

Last year saw the CTPA issue its first-ever manifesto calling for the UK government to develop a strategy for the cosmetics and personal care industry.
