Sephora is opening its sixth distribution centre in the US.
The 746,672 sqft site will be located at the Avon Landings Commerce Park in Indiana and open in 2025.
It is being built by property developer VanTrust and will primarily serve America’s Midwest region.
“Its proximity to a large metropolitan area and transportation hubs will provide direct access to our customers throughout the country,” said Joe Zarzycki, VP of Planning and Engineering at Sephora.
“We look forward to the completion of the project and appreciate our continued relationship with VanTrust.”
This is VanTrust’s second project with Sephora, having worked on the French retail giant’s distribution centre in Las Vegas.
“Avon Landings is a 119-acre master-planned Park with a prime location, near Indianapolis, a dynamic market we continue to invest in,” added Phil Rasey, VP of development at VanTrust.
“We are pleased that Sephora, one of the best-known retail brands in the world, has chosen to locate its distribution centre here.”

Sephora has been ramping up its global presence over the past year.
The retailer is opening three new UK stores in Newcastle and Birmingham this year, expanding on its previous launches in London and Manchester.
In India, Sephora appointed The Reliance Retail Group (RRVL) to oversee its operations in the country to boost its reach in the region.
The deal was estimated to be valued at around €11.1m and gave RRVL exclusive rights to build and enhance Sephora’s presence in India across all channels.
Sephora is also working on revitalising its strategy in China, after facing lagging sales in the region due to strong competition from local Chinese beauty retailers.
The retailer recently appointed Xia Ding as Managing Director for its China operations.
She leads the beauty retailer’s business in mainland China and Hong Kong and oversees its portfolio of 350 stores and e-commerce websites.
Ding’s appointment came after Sephora’s Greater China CEO Maggie Chan stepped down from the role in January 2024, following a five-year tenure.
