Spitzer was charged with leading Fragrance Group LVMH Beauty, which includes Loewe Perfumes, Maison Francis Kurkdjian and Acqua di Parma.

He has previously held a number of roles at Parfums Christian Dior and Jean Paul Gaultier Parfums.

At Bottega Veneta, Spitzer will lead “a new chapter of ambition” for the fashion house, said owner Kering in a statement.

“Bottega Veneta is one of the strongest and most distinctive houses in luxury, with exceptional craftsmanship, a unique creative identity and remarkable growth potential,” said Luca de Meo, CEO of Kering.

“Romain has the leadership, vision and international experience to unlock the next phase of the house’s development.

“I am confident he will build on its extraordinary strengths and take Bottega Veneta to the next level.”

The move comes after Kering’s beauty division was acquired by L’Oréal, including the 50-year beauty and fragrance licences for Bottega Veneta.
