O&3, the natural oil supplier, is feeding consumer appetite for superfoods with six of its latest ingredient launches.
Superfoods are a growing trend in beauty and personal care products, the Yorkshire-based company noted, providing a range of health benefits in line with ever-increasing demand for natural and 'clean' cosmetic formulations.
Jennifer Wood, Chief Executive at O&3, said: “Clean beauty is evolving, and consumers are increasingly seeking holistic products that focus on overall wellbeing.
“New strands of interest are constantly developing and improving appearance is no longer the only thing a consumer looks for in their products.
“As a key player in the beauty industry we are beginning to endorse the superfood concept, providing customers with products to make them feel beautiful inside and out.”
Brands can now power up their products with superfood ingredients including Avocado Oil, said to offer high absorption into the skin as well as stimulating hair growth; Blueberry Butter, made with O&3's Blueberry Oil and suitable for use alone or in formulations; Papaya Seed Oil Refined, which is said to be rich in vitamins, mineral and fatty acids with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits; Camellia (Green Tea) Infused Sunflower Oil, which O&3 claims is ideal for use in skin and hair care ingredients with its UV protection and hair growth enhancement properties; Jojoba Seed Oil Golden Cold Pressed, a non-greasy lubricant said to strengthen hair and provide shine; and Spinach Seed Cold Pressed Oil, recommended for damaged and ageing skin with its vitamins and antioxidants.
