As we get ready to celebrate International Women's Day on 8th March, it's important to recognise and celebrate the achievements of women in all areas of life. One particular set of people who deserve unwavering recognition are our extraordinary crews of talented woman at O&3!
Founded in 2018 by myself and my two siblings, we share a real passion for natural skin care ingredients.
"At O&3, we boast a staggering 48.5% female workforce, which is more than double the UK national average. The board is 66% female, and the CEO position is held by me."
The success of O&3 is testament to the talent and leadership skills of our female leaders throughout the whole business. Under their guidance, the company has grown rapidly, expanding our range of over 950 natural oil ingredients, and making them available to our customers – the world’s leading cosmetics companies and indie brands.
We’re known and recognised for our commitment to sustainability and ethical sourcing, but we should also be known for being a diverse employer. Despite progress in recent years, women remain underrepresented, particularly in manufacturing businesses worldwide.
That is why International Women's Day is so important. It is a day to celebrate the progress that has been made, but also to recognise the work that still needs to be done. For us at O&3, it’s a day to champion the women in our business, and to advocate for greater gender equality more generally.
International woman’s day seems like the perfect day to announce that we are thrilled to join WEConnect International, a global network that connects women-owned businesses with large corporations. This programme connects buyers with companies that are owned, managed and controlled by women and certified by WEConnect International.
