There is a new data on Wamino-BonBon for skin flora. Staphylococcus epidermidis, the skin's beneficial bacteria, and Staphylococcus aureus, non-beneficial bacteria, were co-cultured.

As a result of adding Wamino-BonBon, the ratio of S. aureus is decreased. When a lotion containing Wamino-BonBon is applied to the skin of female volunteers for four weeks, the percentage of Saureus in the skin decreased.

The name Wamino-BonBon comes from a combination of “Wamino”, as in the ‘amino’ acid obtained from Sake lees as a ‘Wa (Japanese-style)’ ingredient, and “BonBon”, meaning a sugar candy, based on an image of “Wasanbon”.
