Despite a healthy 2015, nail polish sales in Germany grew just 1% in January-July 2016 to €100.735m, while hand care dipped 2.9% to €55.117m
The German hand and nail care market buffed up well in 2015.
Figures from IRI Germany revealed healthy growth of 6.2% for nail polish to total €173.780m while hand care was even more dynamic, posting a gleaming 9.8% rise to €95.144m.
Volume figures were also positive, particularly for hand care, with unit sales rising 9.6% to 62.181m and nail polish up 1.3% to 62.845m units.
The latest results, however, which span January to July 2016, reveal a very different picture for both segments.
