Sephora North America’s Accelerate programme focuses on BIPOC-founded and owned brands

Sephora North America has revealed the winners of its Accelerate incubator programme for 2023.

Focusing on BIPOC-founded and owned brands, the incubator’s participants for this year are:

  • Brianna Arps, Moodeaux: A line of ‘clean’ fragrances that accessorise the user’s mood for mindful self-care.
  • Malaika Jones, Tai Beauchamp & Nia Jones, Brown Girl Jane: A wellness-first multicultural beauty and health brand that reduces feelings of stress.
  • Alicia Scott, Range Beauty: ‘Plant-powered’ make-up that targets uneven tones and soothes irritated skin.
  • Sienna Brown, Glosshood: A beauty brand that specialises in providing niche goods to ‘honour your inner child’.
  • Camille Martin, Seaspire Skincare: A skin care disruptor featuring sustainable ingredients.
  • Karen Young, OUI the People: A treatment-driven and inclusive body care brand.
  • Simedar Jackson, Of Other Worlds: A clinically conscious, culturally-inclusive beauty brand that straddles the line between ‘clean’ and clinical skin care.

Now in its eighth year, the programme provides successful participants with a 360-degree, six-month curriculum with mentorship, merchandising support, grants and investor connections, with the opportunity to launch at Sephora North America upon completion.

Eligible participants must be 18 years old, have a North American-incorporated company and be in the early stages of development.

“We are very excited to welcome all 2023 finalists to the Accelerate programme and into the Sephora family,” said Priya Venkatesh, Senior Vice President, Global Merchandising at Sephora.

“Our programme continues to create spaces for BIPOC-founded and owned brands that represent our clients and the world today, all while providing meaningful support for growing brands to succeed.”
