ISP and Takasago to develop oral care solutions together
Alliance announced at in-cosmetics 2011
International Specialty Products (ISP) and flavour and fragrance company Takasago have announced an alliance agreement to develop the next generation of oral care innovations.
Based on ISP’s complex coacervation encapsulation technology and Takasago’s unique flavours, the partnership will help produce new flavour and sensory approaches that elevate consumers’ experience in products such as toothpastes, mouthwashes and whiteners.
Under the agreement, which was announced at in-cosmetics 2011 in Milan this week, the companies will utilise the extensive R&D capabilities and global presence of both ISP and Takasago to share insights in developing products for customers in all key markets.
Jim Mish, senior vice president, ISP Personal Care comments: “We’re excited to partner with a global flavour and fragrance leader such as Takasago to take our technology to a new level. Our encapsulation technology combined with their unique flavours will produce exciting innovations for this segment of personal care.”
Meanwhile Brian Buck, senior vice president Takasago Flavours America adds: “Under this allegiance we can now deliver our flavours in novel ways not previously possible. Takasago’s high quality flavours and ISP’s state of the art encapsulation process are a natural fit and our customers will reap the value of the partnership.”
