The beauty industry is rapidly accelerating, and male beauty is a significant growth driver. Once relegated to 2-in-1 shampoos, beard trimmers, and aftershaves, now male beauty is evolving across all categories to meet the growing demand from male consumers.

Barclays’ Man in the Mirror report says that men’s beauty spending increased by 9.9% in 2024, far outpacing the rate of women’s spending at 5.8%, with Gen Z men driving the growth. Online skin care retailer Face The Future claims over half of its customers are millennial men, while Mintel reports that 68% of Gen Z males are skin care users.

Global trend forecaster WGSN predicts that the men’s global grooming market will reach US$115.3bn by 2028. And skin care will be a large contributor, charting CAGR growth of 10.5% to 2035 according to Future Market Insights. So, what is fuelling the male beauty boom, and its future development?
