Face The Future grows luxury hair portfolio with Luxurious Look acquisition

The online beauty retailer’s acquisition of the luxury hair care retailer comes as Face The Future enters a new growth phase

Skin care and beauty specialist Face The Future has expanded its luxury hair care portfolio with the acquisition of retailer Luxurious Look.

The acquisition comes as Face The Future continues to invest in the luxury hair care market, hoping to replicate its success within skin care.

The sum of the acquisition is undisclosed.

Luxurious Look offers severalhand-selected hair care brands, including Aesop, Aveda, Kevin Murphy and more.

Commenting on the acquisition, Paul Thompson, owner of Face The Future, said:“Face The Future’s acquisition of Luxurious Look signals an exciting phase of expansion and growth for the company. 

“Building on our clinical heritage, we have spent over 20 years carving out a clear niche in premium skin care.”

The acquisition builds on the retailer’s existing hair care offering, as Thompson continued, “We expanded into the hair care category three years ago and have maintained our approach to skin care by delivering information, advice and guidance to our customers related to the haircare brands we stock. 

“We are really excited to bring Luxurious Look into the group in what is a natural extension to our wider selfcare proposition and that will enable us to offer a broadened range of premium haircare brands to our customers.”

Mark Readman, shareholder of Luxurious Look, added: “Fay [Readman] and I have decided that now is the right time for Luxurious Look to grow as part of a larger organisation, with the right resources and expertise, to take the brand to the next level. 

“The synergistic opportunity Face the Future presented, itself being a family-run business under the stewardship of Paul and Julia, was a perfect fit. 

“We will continue to work closely with the Company to ensure a smooth transition period and wish the Face the Future team the best of luck moving forward.”

Sharing the next steps and looking to the future, Thompson continued: “Following the acquisition, our immediate focus is on strengthening relationships with our existing brand partners and managing day-to-day trading to ensure Luxurious Look achieves its strongest golden quarter to date.
