Speaking about the UK beauty industry during British Beauty Week’s afterparty on 22 October, Jagger told Cosmetics Business exclusively: “I feel like there are so many great people that come out of the UK beauty industry as well, and it is such an important part of our economy here.
“I think it is so important to support young people [in the beauty industry], as it is an industry that is still not supported enough for the [young creatives].”
Jagger was named as the British Beauty Council’s Wellbeing Ambassador in January 2025.
The 33-year-old British-American supermodel is the daughter of musician Mick Jagger and the founder of organic beauty brand May Botanicals.
Running from 20 to 26 October, British Beauty Week took on the theme of ‘The Future of Beauty’ this year, with sessions throughout the week spotlighting artificial intelligence (AI)-powered innovations, new manufacturing techniques, sustainability, consumer trends and more.

“We need to work with government, business leaders and media to spotlight the challenges and develop viable solutions,” said Wood.
“We absolutely need to be heard, and this is our platform.
“We are the people to do it – grafters, creative minds who are ready to take on whatever comes our way in the only way possible, with class, dignity and a real purpose and a clear vision for the future of beauty.”
The beauty industry is a key driver of the UK economy, delivering a total GDP contribution of £30.4bn in 2024 – a 9% increase on the previous year.
Last year’s British Beauty Week reached 52.4 million people across all media and physical activations, reported the British Beauty Council.
Jagger added that this year’s event was an “amazing” opportunity to meet so many incredible people within the industry.
