Estée Lauder Companies’ (ELC) Peter Jueptner is stepping down as Group President, International.
He will exit his position on 1 April and then depart the company on 30 June.
Jueptner is an ELC veteran, having worked for the American beauty conglomerate for 16 years.
During this time, he led on numerous ELC brand acquisitions, including Le Labo, Kilian Paris, Dr.Jart+, and Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle.
“Peter has made many essential contributions to shaping and growing our business worldwide,” said Stéphane de La Faverie, ELC President and CEO.
“His legacy of growth, innovation and strategic leadership, as well as his passion for nurturing and developing talent, will continue to inspire us for years to come.”
Jueptner joined ELC in 2009 as Senior VP, Strategy, New Business Development and Transformation Initiatives.
During this time, he is cited as creating frameworks and strategic principles that guided the company through “a period of extraordinary growth”.
In 2016, Jueptner was promoted to President, EMEA, where he relocated to Paris, France, to lead the company's “most culturally and economically complex multi-market region,” read a statement from ELC.
This included encouraging affiliates to leverage ELC’s portfolio of brands to win with a broad range of consumers.
This led to “growth and prestige beauty share gain in many markets and channels,” read ELC’s statement.
In 2022, Jueptner was promoted to Group President, International, where he was responsible for growing the commercial principles he used to transform ELC’s EMEA business to a worldwide scale.
“Over the course of his impressive career with us, Peter has been one of the key architects of ELC,” said William Lauder, ELC’s Chair of the board of directors.
“Helping to expand our brand portfolio, grow our global footprint, and enhance the ways we work together across teams and geographies to serve our global consumers.
“His combination of strategic expertise and commercial acumen has left an indelible imprint on the enterprise.”
Ronald S Lauder also recently announced that he is retiring from ELC’s board of directors.
