PerfectCorp’s YouCam has collaborated with health and beauty marketing company Amway to launch a mobile shopping app for its beauty brand Artistry.
The new Artistry Virtual Beauty App is designed to allow users to try-on and purchase through their smartphones.
Due to roll-out in Korea this month, the app will feature over 150 global make-up products and give customers personalised skin care recommendations.
“The Artistry Virtual Beauty App is a fun and engaging way to bring an entirely new experience to how our Amway business owners try, share and sell Artistry products,” said Kelli Templeton, VP of Global Beauty for Artistry.
“Partnering with YouCam puts the beauty counter right in the hands of our business owners and their customers for personalised beauty recommendations.”
Japan, Thailand and the US will be next to launch the app in 2018.
Alice H Chang CEO of Perfect Corp added: “We are thrilled to partner with Artistry to elevate their customer shopping journey by integrating YouCam technology to best serve their customer needs.
“YouCam’s AR and AI innovations will help Artistry connect and engage with consumers in a faster convenient and more effective way, driving sales and creating an all-together better customer shopping experience.”
This year YouCam has partnered with cosmetics brands Eylure and Maybelline, and NBC Universal for the brand’s first move-themed AR beauty experience.
The brand currently offers six variations of its AR beauty experience: YouCam Perfect, Makeup, Nails, Fun, Shop and Live Training.
