Ulta Beauty has appointed former Johnson & Johnson (J&J) executive Christopher DelOrefice as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective 5 December.
The US beauty retailer’s Interim CFO Chris Lialios will continue to serve in the role until such time.
DelOrefice is a seasoned business leader who has led global, cross-functional teams at companies that “have delivered superior financial performance”, read a statement from Ulta Beauty.
He joins Ulta Beauty from Becton Dickinson & Company, where he has served as Executive VP and CFO since September 2021.
Prior to this, DelOrefice worked for J&J for more than 20 years.
He held financial leadership roles such as VP, Investor Relations; VP Finance and CFO, North America Hospital Medical Devices; and VP Finance and CFO, North America Consumer.
“Chris brings deep financial expertise and a proven track record of delivering leading financial performance and building high-performing, engaged teams across global organisations,” said Kecia Steelman, Ulta Beauty President and CEO.
“With demonstrated experience leading core finance functions, global operations, strategy, corporate development and enterprise transformation for public companies, Chris will be a great partner to our team as we continue to execute our ‘Ulta Beauty Unleashed’ strategy and deliver long-term value for all our stakeholders.”
DelOrefice joins Ulta Beauty during a stellar period of growth, having raised its full-year forecast after ‘better-than-expected profitability’ in Q2.
The retail giant has also launched a new e-commerce storefront to rival Amazon Beauty, while also snapping up UK high street chain Space NK earlier this year.
