Beiersdorf has named Tennille Kopiasz CEO of Chantecaille to guide the prestige beauty brand “into its next chapter”.
Kopiasz succeeds Emily Coleman who took the helm from founder Sylvie Chantecaille in 2022, shortly after the German consumer giant acquired the brand.
Reporting to Beiersdorf Executive Board Member Oswald Barckhahn, who leads the company’s cosmetics business in Europe and North America, Kopiasz will be based in New York City, US.
Kopiasz joins Chantecaille from personal care company Blue Mistral, where she served as CEO overseeing brands such as Fekkai and Bastide.
She has also held a number of senior positions in the beauty industry, including with Coty and L’Oréal.
Plus, LVMH, where she was Global CMO at Fresh and Senior VP of Marketing at Dior North America.
The seasoned executive is also an adjunct professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York.
“I have long admired Chantecaille as a brand with a strong heritage and meaningful philanthropy,” said Kopiasz.
“It is a true honour to work with this talented team to build on this legacy and continue to accelerate the business through elevated products, experiences, as well as digital transformation and support the global commercial operations.”
Commenting on the appointment, Barckhahn said: “Tennille’s exceptional track record of leading, building and scaling beauty brands is exactly what Chantecaille needs in its new CEO to guide the brand into its next chapter.
“Her deep understanding of luxury and purpose-driven leadership aligns seamlessly with Chantecaille’s values and Beiersdorf’s vision to be the best skin care company in the world.”
Chantecaille launched last year in mainland China and “was able to steadily increase its growth rates over the course of the year”, Beiersdrof said in a statement.
In the company’s most recent financial results for the first half of the 2025 financial year, Chantecaille delivered “outstanding” double-digit sales growth of 16.1%.
