Deciem founder and CEO Brandon Truaxe was been removed from his post by a court order put forward by Estée Lauder Companies (ELC). ELC, which owns 28% of the brand owner, sought legal action in Canada after months of volatile social media posts and business decisions.

Cosmetics giant L’Oréal sued internet-hyped skin care brand Drunk Elephant for the infringement of one of its patents. The alleged infringement related to Drunk Elephant’s C-Firma Day Serum, which L’Oréal claims violates a patent it filed 2015 concerning L-Ascorbic Acid, a form of vitamin C.

This year IFF-Lucas Meyer turned back the clock on greys. Greyverse, a-MSH biomimetic peptide, acts on the two main causes of hair greying by stimulating the melanogenesis process and reducing oxidative stress in the hair bulb to improve the production of melanin and increase the quantity of pigments in the hair shafts, resulting in darker coloured hair.
