Garnier has named Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen its first-ever Global Brand Ambassador as it ramps up its mission of “wellness-driven beauty without compromise”.
The environmental activist and wellness advocate will be the L’Oréal-owned brand’s first global face in its 120-year history, helping to accelerate its new strategic vision of ‘High-Tech Nature’ – high-performance, accessible beauty powered by nature and science, and good for the planet.
Bündchen will front Garnier hair care campaigns worldwide, beginning with the launch of Fructis Diamond Sleek this month, as well as starring in The Signature – a humorous brand film that captures the “authentic spirit of the partnership”.
Garnier Brand President, Marc Baland, told Cosmetics Business: “We could not be more excited to welcome Gisele to the Garnier family.
“Gisele is a global beauty icon, an authentic environmental activist and a true wellness advocate.

Bündchen was chosen for the role because she is a champion of the ‘inside-out’ approach to beauty, and shares Garnier’s vision of wellness-driven beauty that is accessible to everyone.
Not to mention being a dedicated environmental activist, UN Goodwill Ambassador and founder of the Luz Alliance Fund – a philanthropic initiative that focuses on conservation, biodiversity protection and ecosystem rehabilitation across all Brazilian biomes.
