Space NK is continuing its rapid brick-and-mortar expansion in 2025 with the announcement of a new flagship in Birmingham, UK.
The 4,356sqft store, located in the city’s Bullring shopping centre, will be the high-end beauty retail chain’s largest venue outside of London.
Scheduled to open late summer, the news of Space NK’s 84th store follows the 2025 opening of a Milton Keynes venue, and new store announcements for Bluewater Shopping Centre, Chelmsford and Leicester.
Earlier this month, the British retailer also announced it would be opening a 4,600sqft flagship store in London’s Oxford Circus in the venue previously occupied by fashion retailer Topshop.
The Space NK store in Bullring is said to have been designed with the customer experience in mind.
It makes use of “warm” and “welcoming” tones and materials, and includes a dedicated consultation area for make-up and skin care.
These feature play tables that enable customers to take a seat either independently or with a member of the Space NK team to discover newness from the retailer’s hundreds of beauty brands.
These include labels like Glossier, Charlotte Tilbury, Rare Beauty and Tatcha.
“Our Birmingham community have been very vocal about their wish for us to return to Birmingham and we are delighted to have secured a location in Bullring, our biggest store outside of London,” said Space NK’s CEO Andy Lightfoot.
“This will be our first standalone store in the city centre, and an opportunity for customers to shop hundreds of the world’s best beauty brands, and receive expert advice from our in-store team.”
Space NK joins several beauty retailers with an established presence in Birmingham’s Bullring, including Sephora, Boots, Superdrug and The Body Shop among others.
