Nails.Inc founder Thea Green exits the business after 27 years

The departure of Nails.Inc founder and Chairwoman Thea Green comes two years after the British nail care brand was sold to Pacific World Corporation

Nails.Inc founder and Chairwoman Thea Green has left the business after 27 years.

Green, who launched the British nail care brand in 1999, announced her last day with Nails.Inc via a post on LinkedIn.

“When I started over 25 years ago, I could never have imagined what an adventure it would be,” Green said in the post.

The entrepreneur is credited with bringing US-style nail bars to the UK.

Nails.Inc has since evolved from a salon-based to a product-focused brand that is sold at retailers such as John Lewis, Sephora, Selfridges and Target, as well as Amazon online.

Green, who was awarded an MBE in 2011 for services to the beauty industry, sold Nails.Inc to private equity firm Pacific World Corporation in 2024.

The deal included Nails.Inc’s make-up business INC.redible, and bath product and mask range Holler and Glow, which has since been rebranded as Holler.

“It is not easy saying goodbye to something you have created and poured so much of yourself into, but it also feels right,” Green said in the LinkedIn post, in which she also thanked “brilliant teams” and Nails.Inc customers.

“I am feeling good about it all.

‘I will proudly cheer the Nails.Inc brands on from the sidelines. Forever your mum, just no longer your coach/manager.

“As for me, after 25 years moving at approximately 100 miles an hour, I am going to recharge, enjoy some chill time, try standing still and see what life looks like without quite so many meetings.

“What a ride. What a team. What a privilege. And who knows what might happen next…”

Cosmetics Business has contacted Pacific World Corporation for comment.
