The brand’s current SVP of Global Marketing will take over from Global Brand President Philippe Pinatel

MAC Cosmetics has promoted Aïda Moudachirou-Rebois, its current SVP of Global Marketing, to SVP and General Manager.

She will succeed Philippe Pinatel, the Estée Lauder Companies-owned brand’s Global Brand President, who will depart at the end of this month.

Moudachirou-Rebois has 20 years’ experience in beauty and has held senior roles at the likes of Revlon, Johnson & Johnson and L’Oréal.

Prior to joining MAC in 2021, she was responsible for brands including Neutrogena, Aveeno and The Body Shop.

Moudachirou-Rebois is said to have played a key role in the success of the brand’s recent MACStack Mascara and Hyper Real skin care launches, according to a company memo from ELC’s Group President Jane Hertzmark Hudis.

“I would like to thank Philippe for his many contributions and extend a warm congratulations to Aïda on her exciting new role,” said Hudis.

MAC was recently named 2023’s most searched-for beauty brand, ahead of Sol de Janeiro and Drunk Elephant, according to a report by beauty retailer Lookfantastic.

This was propelled by the launch of the brand’s first liquid foundation in more than a decade, Studio Radiance Serum-Powered Foundation.
