French skin care brand Biologique Recherche has appointed Estée Lauder Companies veteran Jean-Guillaume Trottier as its new Group CEO.
He will take over the role from the brand’s co-owners Pierre-Louis Delapalme and Rupert Schmid in May, following a transitional period.
With more than 20 years’ experience in the beauty industry, Trottier has held executive positions across a number of beauty brands including those under the L’Oréal and Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) umbrellas.
He most recently served as Global Brand President for ELC brands Jo Malone London and Darphin Paris.
Now, he will lead Biologique Recherche’s expansion and development efforts to grow the business.

“I will build upon the unique DNA and heritage of this company while continuing to nurture a culture of high performance in our teams and products.

Founded in the 1970s, Biologique Recherche offers a range of skin and body care products as well as facial treatments.
It has spa partnerships across more than 80 countries, and also operates its own flagship destinations – known as Ambassades – in Paris, Rome, Brussels, Stockholm, Shanghai and Los Angeles.
