A growing number of beauty brands are turning to blockbuster releases and bingeable series for sponsorship opportunities, on-screen partnerships and product collaborations.
From The Devil Wears Prada 2’s plethora of product partnerships to L’Oréal Paris’ on-screen moments in Prime Video’s Legally Blonde prequel, Elle, beauty and entertainment are increasingly teaming up to elevate storytelling on both sides and inviting consumers to enter cinematic universes through product discoveries.
But why do collaborations and partnerships between these two industries work so well?
For Mared Parry, media personality and Editorial Lead for pop culture-driven women's media brand Betches UK, “beauty and entertainment are such a natural fit because the partnerships normally centre on movies and shows that already have a really loyal fandom, a really distinct aesthetic, or both.”
