L'Oreal unveils plans to boost sales in China

L'Oréal has announced plans to market its products in supermarkets throughout China over the next few years. The popular L'Oréal Paris, Mininurse, Garnier and Maybelline brands will initially be marketed in retail stores after successful trial launches in Wal-Mart and Carrefour stores. The products will be launched in Chinese domestic supermarkets including Lianhua in the future, eventually becoming available in pharmacies and barber's shops.

The products will be launched in Chinese domestic supermarkets including Lianhua in the future, eventually becoming available in pharmacies and barber's shops.

The company expects its sales in China to grow 10-12%, helping L'Oréal to maintain its second place market position behind Procter & Gamble. As well as increasing the presence of its middle-range products in supermarkets, L'Oréal plans to sell luxury brands such as Lancöme and Biotherm in 500 department stores.
