Kérastase has appointed Euphoria and White Lotus star Sydney Sweeney as its new global ambassador.

The Emmy-nominated actress will appear in marketing campaigns for the L’Oréal-owned brand’s hair care products, which include its Blond Absolu, Genesis and Curl Manifesto collections.

Sweeney said that it was “so immense for [her] to partner with such an iconic brand”.

“For me there is something in beauty about being creative, being myself and being a strong believer in my actions.

“I feel all the Kérastase campaigns always capture these themes, and of course they are always très très chic.

“I'm excited to show you what we've been up to."

The Anyone But You star follows model Emily Ratajkowski and Bollywood actress Lisa Haydon Lalvani as Kérastase’s latest ambassador.

Kérastase described Sweeney as “an international icon of modern femininity”, saying that she was chosen for her “warmth and magnetism both on and off-screen”.

“[She is] fearless with her hair, beauty and style, fearless with the roles that she takes and fearless about being unapologetically Syd with so many talents and interests,” said Rosa Carriço, Global Brand President at Kérastase.

“She speaks to her communities with passion, focus and a sense of humour that makes you feel like you instantly know her.

“This is the Kérastase woman. One who dares and one who embraces their own journey."

Sweeney is no stranger to a beauty campaign, starring as the face of Armani Beauty’s My Way fragrance, also owned by L’Oréal.

She is also an ambassador for K-beauty brand Laneige, fronting the brand’s campaign for its hero product Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Moisturizer from 2022.

She recently expanded her partnership with the brand to become its first-ever ambassador, with Laneige reporting a surge in its social media growth after featuring Sweeney in its TikTok and Instagram content.
