Garnier has appointed TV sports presenter and former professional footballer Alex Scott as its brand ambassador.
The former Arsenal player will help raise awareness of the brand’s sustainability efforts and be the face of its conscious beauty launches.
Scott is joining fellow TV presenters Davina McCall and Holly Willoughby who are both longstanding Garnier ambassadors.
“A passionate believer of inclusivity and someone who acts on behalf of the planet, we truly believe Alex is a perfect fit for the Garnier brand, alongside our beloved Davina and Holly,” said Garnier Brand President Adrien Koskas.
“We are very excited about the future of this partnership.”
Scott shared her first Garnier campaign video on Instagram and said: “I have been a big fan of Garnier’s for many years.
“Not just because the formulas are effective with real science behind them, but also because of the brand’s commitment to the environment.
“Tackling issues such as sustainability, working with NGOs to help tackle plastic waste and being a brand approved by Cruelty Free International.
“I cannot wait to partner with a brand that truly shares my values as well as delivering great products.”
Garnier is the latest beauty company to partner with sports stars as the two worlds continue to merge.
Kosé recently appointed baseball star Shohei Ohtani as brand ambassador while make-up brand Il Makiage signed a multi-year partnership with Arsenal Women.
