Barrymore became Garnier’s creative director and first-ever celebrity ambassador in 2021
L’Oréal USA recently appointed Amy Whang as President of Garnier
Barrymore will front a social media and TV campaign promoting the beauty brand’s updated Nourishing Color Crème formula.
"I've been just about every hair colour under the sun, and the updated formula provides a fab shade that cares while it colours and is so easy to master on your own," said Barrymore.
The appointment expands on the American actress’ ongoing partnership with the L'Oréal-owned brand.
Barrymore became Garnier’s creative director and first-ever celebrity ambassador in 2021.
"She is more than a spokesperson for us – she is a true advocate, with the ability to connect and relate to her audience in a way rarely seen in the celebrity world,” added Garnier's Senior VP Ali Fakih.
“Her affinity for hair colour, and her 'do it myself' nature, made for the perfect choice as our Garnier Nutrisse Brand Ambassador."
Barrymore’s appointment follows on from L’Oréal USA naming Amy Whang as President of its Maybelline New York, Garnier and Essie brands for the US in 2022.
She joined L’Oréal USA’s management committee at the same time.
Whang originally joined L’Oréal in 2004 in the Luxe division and has worked with brands including Lancôme, Kiehl’s and Shu Uemura.
