Fabre success sees €71m production investment

French independent pharma group Pierre Fabre, which develops and
 markets dermatological cosmetic products, is to invest €71m at its 
Soual site in southern France. This will increase production capacity for skin cosmetics by 60 million units 
in the wake of rising international demand. A total of 475 people are currently employed at the site and this will 
increase by about 150.

in the wake of rising international demand. A total of 475 people are currently employed at the site and this will 
increase by about 150.

The Soual unit makes creams,
 shampoos, lotions and gels sold under the Galenic, Klorane, Rene Furterer, 
Avene and Ducray brands. The project is scheduled for completion in the first 
half of 2010 and will be put into operation from mid-2011.
