Luxury fragrance and beauty house Chanel is rounding off a jam-packed year of celebrations for 100 years of its Nº5 scent with a giant installation at Harrods’ Door 5, London, UK.
Standing at 15.5 metres high and 16 metres wide, the grand display features a geometric Chanel Nº5 bottle and faceted stopper.
To give a feel for the festive season, Chanel has decorated the outside of the bottle with presents that mirror the brand’s Christmas branding for 2021.
In addition to the Door 5 installation, the 111-year-old brand has dressed 16 windows at Harrods’ London store in festive decorations.
To help customers gear up for the Yuletide season, Chanel has also launched a ‘Finding Nº5’ treasure hunt for customers, with multiple prizes to win, including an immersive shopping experience and Chanel Nº5 Spaceship.
Throughout the entirety of 2021, Chanel has engaged in a number of retail and marketing campaigns to pay homage to the fragrance’s 100 years in business.
Back in the summer, Chanel opened the doors to its Factory 5, a dedicated entourage of global pop-ups dedicated to the scent.
Hitting the UK at Selfridges’ Corner Shop on London’s famous Oxford Street, the 160sqm space offered customers a chance to browse the 17 new products in its limited edition line, all of which were scented with Nº5.
In a factory-type setting, complete with robot arm and production lines, the immersive experience was dubbed a ‘theme park’ for shoppers.
Chanel also entered the advent calendar craze for Christmas 2021 and, once again, paid homage to the centenarian fragrance by housing the 27 products in a oversized black and white Chanel Nº5 bottle.
