Chanel Beauty is celebrating and spotlighting seven female athletes through the launch of its new programme, the CC League.
The two-year programme sets out to support these high-level athletes, using beauty as a way of “transformation, confidence and empowerment”.
The programme, which is “rooted in the conviction that beauty is a transformative force”, sees two-time national basketball champion Renee Montgomery become mentor to the seven athletes.
Montgomery, who believes “in a unique beauty that combines discipline and vulnerability, the greatest of strengths”, will guide the seven women “on a journey where the freedom to be oneself, the passing on of knowledge and values, and individuality lie at the heart of every experience”.
The basketball star will share her perspective as a former athlete on the relationship between beauty and high-level sport over the two-year programme.
As part of the programme, the athletes will all take part in workshops and coaching sessions focused on self-confidence.
The seven spotlighted athletes come from a range of backgrounds and disciplines, each bringing their own story to the collective.
