The Japanese MUA will succeed the beauty brand’s long-standing make-up artist Linda Cantello

Armani Beauty has signed seasoned MUA Hiromi Ueda as its Global Make-up Artist.

The Osaka-born artist succeeds Linda Cantello, who has held the role at the L’Oréal-licensed beauty brand for the past 15 years.

Ueda has been a professional make-up artist for more than 20 years across both editorial campaigns and runways.

Her work has appeared in publications i-D, Dazed and global editions of Vogue

“I am absolutely thrilled to be joining Armani Beauty,” Ueda posted on Instagram.

“I am fully committed to contributing positively to the Armani team, giving my utmost dedication.

“Growing up in Japan, the idea of cultivating inner beauty and kindness was instilled in me from an early age.

“Make-up not only serves as a powerful tool for self-expression, it also plays a crucial role when it comes to boosting confidence.

“It is the perfect union of inner and outer beauty.”

Ueda is no stranger to the Armani Beauty team either.

She worked as a guest make-up artist at the most recent Armani Privé couture and Giorgio Armani and Emporio Armani ready-to-wear fashion shows.

Armani Beauty has been expanding its brand reach recently with new faces.

The beauty brand named Stranger Things star Sadie Sink ambassador of its Sì Eau de Parfum Intense fragrance campaign.

It also appointed Euphoria Actress Sydney Sweeney as the face of its My Way perfume franchise
