Acquisitions boost L'Oréal’s US professional arm

L'Oréal has acquired two companies supplying US hairdressing salons with aggregate sales of $130m. SalonCentric, the US division of L'Oréal has purchased Maly's Midwest and Marshall Salon Services.


L'Oréal has acquired two companies supplying US hairdressing salons with aggregate sales of $130m. SalonCentric, the US division of L'Oréal has purchased Maly's Midwest and Marshall Salon Services.

The two new acquisitions give L'Oréal 80% of US territorial coverage with its distribution network of professional hairdressing products such as Matrix and Redken. The US companies between them have 90 professional outlets.

The French group aims to improve market share and currently has 37% of the distribution of products sold to the hairdressing sector in America.
