Natural beauty and hair looks are tipped to be the leading bridal beauty trends this wedding season.
Pinterest searches for ‘natural glam bridal make-up’ have surged by 700% in the platform’s wedding category.
Consumers are also searching for ‘ethereal make-up’ – defined as ‘delicate and light in a way that seems too perfect for this world’ – in line with popular wedding themes, with a 300% increase in Pinterest searches.
Popular looks include shimmery eyeshadow, bold use of highlighter and kitten eyeliner.
The findings are from the latest report by Clarins’ Beauty Daily online hub.
For wedding nails, meanwhile, French tips with floral details are blooming, with consumers searching for ‘french tip manicures with flowers’ up by 100%.
This nods towards a general trend towards more natural nail styles, with searches for ‘pearl chrome nails’ increasing by 2,500% and ‘pearl french tip nails’ by 200%.
This may have been boosted by influencer Sofia Richie’s short and simple manicure for her wedding to Elliot Grainge this April, a look which she recently recreated for fans on TikTok.
And when it comes to hair, buns are the leading hair trend for brides, with searches up by 400%.
However, hair down styles are also on the rise for both bridesmaids and brides, increasing by 300% and 200% respectively.
The majority (87%) of UK brides are willing to spend up to £300 on hair and make-up for their wedding day, Clarins’ survey revealed – presenting potential opportunities for brands.
Charlotte Tilbury, for example, offers a Wedding Day Makeup Magic Touch-Up Kit (£58), which includes a powder compact, mascara, moisturiser and setting spray designed for brides to top up their make-up throughout their big day.
Beauty subscription service Birchbox, meanwhile, teamed up with wedding planning provider Rock My Wedding for a limited edition beauty box, including products from the likes of Bobbi Brown, Smashbox, Caudalie and Floral Street.
