Urban Decay has been voted the Best Cruelty-Free Cosmetics Company by peta2, the world’s largest youth animal rights organisation, in its annual Libby Awards.

The Libby (liberation) Awards aim to recognise animal-friendly people and products. Urban Decay has long been a pioneer of cruelty-free cosmetics and already displays Peta’s bunny logo on its website to assure customers that it does not use or condone animal testing.

Speaking about the honour, peta2’s Lara Sanders, said: “Urban Decay is meeting the demand for cosmetics that are both fun and animal-friendly – at Urban Decay compassion comes free with every purchase.”

Says Wende Zomnir, executive creative director at Urban Decay: “We have always believed that you can have a killer look using the highest quality products without killing or harming animals. We search high and low for the best ingredients, plant derivatives and synthetic fibres to guarantee our products are cruelty-free and gorgeous whilst rich in colour and texture.”
