The Perfume Shop sees strong Christmas trading sales
2.4% increase in like-for-like sales
The Perfume Shop has today reported strong trading results over the Christmas period with a 2.4% increase in like-for-like sales in the four weeks ending 5 January, despite tough trading conditions throughout the period.
Traffic to the website, www.theperfumeshop.com, more than doubled in 2012 leading to a 42% increase in online sales. The launch of an improved mobile and smart phone enabled website has also seen a huge rise in sales on devices up 307% for the full year and an impressive 367% in December alone.
There were also 11 new stores opened last year for The Perfume Shop making over 250 stores in total. Jo Walker, managing director of The Perfume Shop said: “We are delighted with the results for 2012, particularly during such tough economic times.”
