… and launches Christmas advert


The Perfume Shop announced the winners of the inaugural The Perfume Shop Awards at an intimate ceremony in London last night. Voted for via the company’s Facebook page, which has over 50,000 fans, and announced by The Perfume Shop managing director Jo Walker, the prize for best women’s launch went to DKNY’s warm, fruity addition to its Be Delicious family, DKNY Golden Delicious. The best men’s launch was Boss Orange Man, while Paco Rabanne Lady Million won best bottle design for its packaging, inspired by the designer’s famous metal dresses. Beyoncé Heat, described as an alluring floral, fruity, woody perfume, was named best celebrity launch. And tongue-in-cheek awards for the best male and female ‘noses’ went to British TV presenter Holly Willoughby and Take That’s Gary Barlow.

The Perfume Shop also used the occasion to premier its full Christmas TV advert, which was aired for the first time on ITV at 7.15pm last night. The 20- and 30-second ads – created by agency Über – feature scenes depicting the emotional experience of wearing perfume, accompanied by Bob Dylan’s Make You Feel My Love, recently popularised by singer Adele.
